Keto Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers Appetizer
Keto Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers Appetizer
I used to think that Jalapeños were far too spicy but I've lived half my life eating chicken fingers and french fries, so let's just say my palette isn't overly...refined.
I was inspired to make this dish after seeing a tiktok from Jackie at LowCarbStateofMind. In the comments, someone had suggested adding in sausage and I thought it was a great idea!
My neighbour often makes next level, 10/10 delicious Jalapeño poppers and often adds in sausage meat, so why not try making some myself!

Keto Jalapeño Poppers Recipe
Keto Jalapeño Poppers Ingredient List
10-12 jalapeños
300 g sausage
170 g cream cheese
120 g cheddar cheese
Spice it up! Garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika (optional!)
Bacon strips cut in half (optional - you can top with bacon bits instead)
Low carb bbq sauce (optional)
Keto Jalapeno Poppers Instructions
Brown the sausage over medium heat in a frying pan. Set aside.
Wash jalapeños. Cut off the tops, then in half and remove all seeds.
Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, cooked ground sausage, spices and hot sauce(should you desire) in a bowl.
Stuff the jalapeños with the sausage and cream cheese mixture. Wrap with one piece of bacon.
Throw them in a pre-heated air fryer at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes. If you don't have an air fryer, bake in the oven at 400 degrees F for 30-45 minutes. You’re looking for the bacon to cooked and the fat rendered. But seriously, the air fryer makes these next level. I recommend this one. It's a great entry-level air fryer.
If you’d like, brush with low carb bbq sauce for the last minute of cooking.
Let cool before eating because these are going to be HOT HOT HOT inside. They also taste great at room temperature.
Enjoy!
