Cover Me in Sunshine - Pink and Willow Sage Heart Family Cover Song

We just completed our first family cover song!

This past weekend, I asked my family if they would learn, sing, record, and film this cover song. Luckily for me, there wasn’t too much opposition.

My daughter sings in a Glee club but the pandemic shut them down almost a year ago. She enjoys singing and misses the program immensely. She was in tears on Friday. So tired of the changes that the pandemic has brought to her life. It’s a hard time to be a 10 year old!

I’ve had the Pink and Willow Sage Hart song ‘Cover Me in Sunshine’ stuck in my head lately. It’s about looking forward to better days ahead. The pandemic has been challenging for everyone and its such a bright and happy song.

What’s our Musical Background!?

Steve started playing guitar in high school and has been in many original bands and cover bands throughout his life. He’s currently in a band called Now What!? All the other members are high school teachers, which makes it tough on Steve when they’re off all summer and he has to work. LOL.

When the world isn’t shut down, Steve and his cover band plays shows throughout Southwestern Ontario.

Taylor has been in many local theatre productions, both plays and musicals. Most recently she very much enjoyed being in glee where they cover current/past pop songs and dance to choreography. We hope that things will open up soon.

Carter is a 7 year old professional video game player with zero musical experience. He will beat you at any and every game. Mad skills.

Lastly, me, Joanna! I took choir in high school. I’ve always loved singing but let’s be clear - I’m mediocre at best. But that’s not going to stop me from enjoying music with my family!
